They look like fresh garbanzo beans. I've made them lightly steamed, then sauteed with bacon (easily left out) and caramelized onions, grains of paradise or black pepper to season.

You are correct! Fresh garbanzo beans. I've been eating them right out of the pods - they're delicious!
Wow, I'm impressed she got it. I have never had fresh garbanzo beans. That's amazing that you can eat them right out of the pod.
