Apple & Gorgonzola Pizza

Apples and cheese. One of my favorite combinations! Here, the classic pear is replaced with apple to make an Apple and Gorgonzola Pizza.

It tasted absolutely divine!

I made a standard cheese pizza with pizza dough, pizza sauce and grated mozzarella and added thin slices of apple, a generous amount of crumbly Gorgonzola, and walnut pieces. I loved the subtle sweetness and crunch of the apple.

A perfect welcome to fall.

I *heart* apples + cheese [especially warm cinnamony apple crisp and a slice of cheddar].

Your pizza idea is inspired.

I found a frozen gorgonzola apple pizza at Kroger. I tried it, wanting something different, and LOVED it and immediately went online to find a recipe! It is absolutely delicious!!

I will definitely try your recipe!

I just made an apple pizza with smoked mozzarella. But I also used some left over tomato sauce, and added cinnamon apple sauce to it in a 2 part tomatos sauce 1 part apple sauce ration, and it was amazing!!!

We have a restaurant here in Oregon, Sahara Pizza, who makes this pizza with cinnamon and garlic also, called NORTHWEST TERRITORY. It is excellent, we order it weekly.
